- Check your status on GOAPS today. It should read our application is submitted and payment received successfully, Under Scrutiny or Application accepted. If it still says Application submitted, your payment did not go through; contact the helpdesk at once.
- Watch for defect emails. Scrutiny can flag your live photo, uploaded photo, signature or documents, and the email gives you just 3 days to respond. Check spam and promotions folders too.
- Decide if you need the rectification window. Review your downloaded form for wrong exam cities, paper or category before 14 October.
- Keep your DigiLocker account. IIT Madras has said all future communication will go only through the DigiLocker account used to apply, so do not delete or change it.
- Start full-time preparation. About 4 months remain, which is enough to finish the syllabus with a fixed plan.

GATE 2027 Registration Closed: Admit Card Dates and What We Know
After GATE 2027 Registration Closed, the next big date is the admit card. IIT Madras lists its download date as “TBA” (to be announced). The exam city allotment comes first, on 4 January 2027, so the admit card is expected some time after that and before the first exam on 6 February. In recent years, GATE admit cards have usually been released in early January.
When it is out, you will download it from GOAPS. It will carry your photo, paper, exam date, session and centre address.
